Swine Influenza Virus Symptoms
The swine flu symptoms are similar to those of seasonal influenza. These include fever, cough, sore throat, muscle aches, headache, chills, stuffy or runny nose, tiredness, diarrhea and vomiting. Two things distinguish H1N1: fever over 100.4 degrees Celsius and a lung disease and does not start, like a tickle in my throat.
H1N1 has already been declared a pandemic. I have seen many states, including New York, California and Hawaii alreadybang 'widespread' disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control. To date 5,500 people have been in the United States alone, and 353 inmates have died from the disease.
But it is even worse.
The CDC estimates that 40 percent of Americans come up with H1N1 in the next 2 years. In its current form is far more problematic than a typical flu, but if a mutation (which many experts think that will be), then we could have areal crisis on our hands.
At that point, the national health systems break down. Doctors and hospitals with the seriously ill and dying, while many people will never get any attention being overwhelmed.
Already the government has announced that the ration of swine flu vaccine to groups at highest risk.
People with symptoms of swine flu should receive health care while you can. But we must also prepare for an outbreakthat the system of government and health has not increased.
